An upscale venue in the Montclair neighborhood of Oakland that serves up some of the most delicious beef dishes that we have come across. The Montclair Bistro offers its patrons sophisticated dining close to home and the wine selection is quite
extensive showcasing some of the premier wineries; also featured are exclusive wine maker dinners that combine the Bistro's excellent food with the perfect wine pairing.
The Montclair Bistro is tucked into the wooded hillside in the affluent area of the Oakland Hills. Built in 1948, the style of the building is French Provincial with much attention paid to detail-from the weather vane atop the peaked roof, the half-timbering, to the fieldstone layed among the weathered bricks along the walls and pathways. Inside, discreet artwork on speckled walls in tones of soft leaf green and butterscotch, unobtrusive dark carpeting, comfortable chairs upholstered in a soft, dark fabric, and white linen-and-butcher-paper-covered tables create an intimate, homelike setting.
