Moving Arts Dance

Moving Arts Dance, internationally heralded for their articulate eloquence and athletic virtuosity, is based in the San Francisco Bay Area under the direction of Anandha Ray. Resident Choreographers Michael Lowe and Ray are each award winning choreographers with extensive careers in dance. In 2004 Mr. Lowe was awarded the Bay Area's most prestigious dance award, "The Isadora Duncan Dance Award for Excellence in Choreography." Artistic Director Anandha Ray, whose choreography won highest honors in the 1986 National Dance Festival (Washington D.C.) was named by Diablo Magazine as one of the 21 visionaries for the 21st Century, and in 2004 was inducted into the Contra Costa County Wonem's Hall of Fame for her contributions in dance. The company tours extensively, offers dance training programs for all ages and levels, and hosts a theater which produces performances of dance companies from locally to internationally.
